I have a male and a female semi-adult black mollies (about 1.5" long). However, in good lighting I can see that they aren't truly black; their pectoral (that's the side fins, yes?) fins especially but also some of their bodies have a red tint. I've never seen this before. Should I hit them with a fungal treatment; could this be some sort of fungus growing on them? Poor things! Or are some black mollies just not all that black? I raised them, and their parents seemed completely black. My sister who is not into fish at all decided that a black molly mated with a red swordtail, but I wasn't so sure about that idea (-: They seemt o be healthy; swimming about, fins moderate, and they still eat. Let me know if you have any advice please.
