Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

We have had a problem with our Black Molly's in that they appear to bloat out a bit and the scales protrude more than normal. They then seem to die a couple of days later.

There are seven fish in a 110ltr tank and the test kit is showing nothing too unusual.

Obviously we would like some idea of what the problem is so that we can rectify it.

Thank you in advance.

They have dropsy and once the scales stick out last stage of the desease organ failure.
You could try epson salt baths and try and draw the fluids out.
Need to take a closer look at your tank, how many fish and which type.
Need water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
What do you feed the fish.

Is there salt in the water? If not, that may be your issue. Take a look at the pinned topic. :)

as said theres some good pinned topics on diseases..your mollies have dropsy which basically the signs of end stage organ failure which can be caused by a variety of things....an internal bacterial infection is a common one. once your fish show the classic signs of dropsy ie: swelling & 'pineconing' of scales it will almost inevitably end in death of the fish.
can you post exact details of your water tests ie: ammonia, nitrite, nitrate,pH,temp. size of tank how long its been running what fish are in there, how long have you had your mollies before they got sick?........all this will really help us try to pin down & sort out your probs.
