Noticed on my ram eggs on day 2 they now have a black dot/line on is this a sign of the eggs being fertile?

Cheers

Didnt want to start a new post on this cause it would be pointless but im so excited i have to tell someone! I can see some wriggling!

The black dots will be the eyes of the fry and a faint black line will be their spine. You have fertile eggs

Nice one thanks for the reply trying not to get too excited as ive read keeping the fry fed is the hardest part. I have some moss in there and tried to culture my own infusoria. May buy some proper stuff today just incase.

Are the parents raising them or you. If the parents are doing it dont worry too much about feeding the parents usually will chew up flake food and spit it into the group. If you are raising them yourself, once the egg sack has gone (about 5-7 days) finely crush some flake food and either hold it under the water with your fingers so it sinks or use a turkey baster or eye dropper put the mix in and squirt it towards the fry.
