Black Convict Cichlids, Can I Keep Them And With What Else?

I have a 30 gallon tank as you might have read in one of my other threads....I wanted to keep a pair of Black Convict Cichlids and maybe some other fish. I know they are very aggressive so do you have any suggestions?

How about a pair of Black Convict Cichlids and 6 Barbs? hows that pair?

For what I can see with mine, you would have issues with anything else you put in there, honestly. I have 4 convicts and 9 barbs and I wouldn't mix the 2 species. I don't worry about the convicts, but I'm thinking that the barbs would be punching bags. Plus the barbs are fin nippers and...if they try to gag up on the convicts...I'm betting World War 3 would be more pleasant.
