How can I get rid of..or reduce the amount of black brush algae in my tank?
It covers the whole back pane of my glass (awkward to get to) I've sat for over an hour scratching it off with my nails..which was useless because it grew back so quickly :'( it covers half of my heater, my filter wires and pretty much everything else! Im surprised it isn't growing on my fish yet ;-)
I don't have any plants in the tank and it currently has various tetra, mollies and a common pleco in there.
My piranhas are going in there soon when I transfer the fish to another tank so the introduction of other fish isnt really suitable.

Any ideas?

Pm a mod and ask him to put this in the algae section, you'll get many more responses there.

Do a search in the forum as this has been discussed before and there is a lot of information in the previous topic I seem to recall ;)
