there is a lot of black brush algae in my tank! I have one siamese aglae eater, but he isnt really eating it, just picking at it everyy once in a while.

29gal, freshwater tank with one angelfish, a siamese algea eater, 2.5wpg and co2. I leave the light on about 10 hours a day.

(this is my first time posting a picture, i dont know if it will work lol)

yay the pic turned out alright!

here is some more weird stuff going on in my tank that i have questions about
!. in this picture, holes appear to be rotting through leaves of my dwarf lily, but the plant doesnt appear to be dying.......?

sorry, typo, in the first picture, algae problem, in the second, holes rotting through dwarf lily

in the third picture (the one with wisteria) there is a weird bloom that is coming from something, i am not sure if it is wisteria, or possibly the algae? you can see the bloom as odd strands coming from the top of the plant.

Thats odd, my SAE's ate everything up in no time!!
Except my diatoms.

Is your CO2 level consistent? Are you positive?

The holes in your plants suggests a lack of nutrients.

What are your tank stats? (pH, GH, Nitrates, Phosphates)

I turn the co2 off at night, if that matters.

It's important to know these parameters to help you get your tank in top shape and beat the algae.
