I have a number of Colombian Tetras in my community tank, they are like mini piranhas and seek out and devour any food that is bite size, the other fish then clear up what is left.

Therefore imagine my surprise ten minutes ago when this little fella appeared at the front of the tank. Not sure how he survived or if he will for much longer, but for now he is christened lucky

My baby Colombian tetra (just wonder how many I may have inadvertantly thrown out when I pruned the other week. He's about 5mm at the moment, not sure what he has eaten but I think it shows the tank is quite healthy.

Awww. He is so cute. Great picture too...very nice and clear!

Congrats on your baby (Or maybe babies). :D

Are colomubian tetra really that dangerous? We have some at work if they are the ones i think you are relating to. We call them "Columbian Rainbow Tetra" They are kinda silvery with flashes of blue/yellow when they swim.

They are only dangerous if you are a brineshrimp.... or are in possession of long, juicy fins.
