Birchir Tank Mates

As the title says really. I'm lookin to rehome my red devil cichlid and need help finding what tank mates would be suitable for a Senegal birchir... Well 2 senegals birchirs (and a small plec)

The tank is 450 litres (rio 400)

Try Oscars, Bala Sharks, Upside down cats, Silver Dollars, Tinfoil Barbs, etc. These all will work

^^ all of the above will outgrow your tank... or most anyway.

Depends how big your birchirs will be as to what fish to put in with them...

A few African haps or peacocks... or alternatively (dont mix) some south or central american cichlids.

There are some barbs that get big without being tank busters like tinfoils... denisonii barbs, arulius barbs, spanner barbs, filamented barbs etc...

Also rainbows would look good, some big rainbows will be too big and too fast to get eaten.

Thanks for the replys. The birchirs are nearly 6 inches at the moment. Iv kept redline torpedo barbs before. I wouldn't mind them again.

Or may try the rainbows? Be good to try something different

Nothing small enough to fit in their mouths basically, they are avid hunters and very cunning!
