I would like to make my first tank a Biotope of some kind. I have started looking into Amazon species, but I would like to look at others and compare side by side.

Any good resources to turn to?

Suggestions?

I just found some good stuff at badmanstropicalfish.com.

I'll let you know if its worth the read after I have time to sift through it.

I find although the internet is packed with information on this subject it's sometimes hard locating it or piecing it all together to make it make sense.
Books are your best option in my opinion. How about a book dedicated to the 'natural aquarium'? Example?

James.

Thanks James! I will forward that to my wife...maybe Santa will leave it in my stocking.;)

A book is the best way to go. I just want to see fish and plants side by side to help me make a decision.

Right now I am leaning towards a Sumatran river/stream set up simply due to the availability of plants and fish in my area.

But on the look out for a cool challenge! :)
