I've just read about this live culture of 'friendly' bacteria on another Goggled web site about how to set up an aqurium. The writer says putting BioSpira will "establish the biogogical filter and save tons of headaches" etc.
Has anyone had any experience with this product and if so does it really work?
Thanks

Do a search for it under previous post. It seems that there have been several people to use it with success!

Yes I've read many people that use it succesfully, a little bit of money but it speeds up your cycle. A product worth buying if you don't want to wait.

i've had success with it, but only during the winter mostly. it seems that shipping it in warm weather prematurely brings the bacteria in the pouch out of their suspended state and renders it mostly useless.

i had to dose two 1oz pouches instead of one when i started my 20 gallon tank last summer to get things going.

Hi:

As others have said, this stuff really works. I posted a thread about my experience that you can search.

For only about $12 US dollars if you can find it at a MarineLand dealer locally, I can't imagine doing a tank cycle any other way. It gets the tank cycled FAST and EFFECTIVE with low to no surges in ammonia or nitrite.

I ordered some online, but got it slightly warm.. so think most of the bacteria in it was already useless.

Although it didn't successfully cycle my tanks.. I would probably still get it again if there was someone close to me that had it (which unfortunatly noone does sell it locally).
I've heard nothing but good things about BS.
