I think Biorb tanks are really neat looking. Anyone have one? I know they wouldn't be able to hold that many fish, but I was wondering how well they worked and stuff. Any advice?
Thanks,
Kyle

I've heard their OK, but for their sale price, they aren't good at all.
They can hold a Betta, thats about it.

Ethos, to be fair, the largest Biorb holds almost 16 US gallons - so I think a bit more than just one betta can fit in there ;) reduced surface area and all.....

hi i had a 30ltr biorb with neons ,that looked good you could have 2-3 platy,
i had it for a month but wanted more fish i now have a 180ltr,my tropical biorb and beech stand are for sale at the moment £65 for the lot :hey: .

I've looked at biorbs because I want a betta tank, but the round/cylinder shape is not for me. I guess I'm old fashioned and just like rectangular tanks -- more surface area and I can get them much cheaper.

My first ever tank was a 30 ltr biorb. They look cool, but to be honest; scratch easily being acrylic, being spherical it is a nightmare if you want to catch the fish once you have put them in. The carbon is free in the filter and a pain to get out if you want to medicate. You have to clean it more often than they say and because of the size of the media, so much detrius gets stuck in it that you scratch the tank trying to syphon it out. Oh, and one more thing, the pump can be really noisy.

Apart from that it looks really cool :D
