Hey, i am supposed to either be getting 2( 1m+ 1f) wild caught kribensis cichlids on saturday, or 4 ( 2 f+ 2m) . I wanted to make them a Bio-Type and i was wondering what other species of fish i should put in there with them and plants to mimick their natural habitat( espcially if i get the wild one's). help appreciated!

Nothing I like more these days than researching biotopes on fishbase.

Anyway, this isn't an exhaustive list, but here's some options. Keep in mind many of these fish I just heard of myself.

Tetras
Arnoldichthys spilopterus - Niger Tetra
Brycinus longipinnis - Longfin Tetra
Micralestes acutidens - Sharptooth Tetra
Nannaethiops unitaeniatus - Oneline Tetra
Neolebias ansorgii - Landgraf's Tetra

Barbs
Barbus callipterus - Clipper Barb
Barbus camptacanthus - African Redfinned Barb
Barbus macrops - Blackstripe Barb

Killifish
Aphyosemion bitaeniatum - Two-striped Aphyosemion
Aphyosemion calliurum - Banner lyretail
Fundulopanchax gardneri gardneri - Blue lyretail
Fundulopanchax scheeli
Fundulopanchax sjostedti - Blue gularis
Aplocheilichthys normani - Norman's Lampeye (edit: while lampeyes are in the family Poeciliidae with guppies and the like, they are apparently not livebearers and generally considered "Killifish" They school like tetras however )

There are a lot of other options as to Killifish, but Fishbase indicates these are all fairly easy species traded in the hobby

Labryinthfish
Ctenopoma argentoventer - Silverbelly ctenopoma
Ctenopoma nigropannosum - Twospot Climbing Perch
Microctenopoma congicum - Congo ctenopoma

Other Cichlids
Chromidotilapia guentheri guentheri - Guenther's Mouthbrooder
Hemichromis bimaculatus - Jewelfish

Oddballs
Pantodon buchholzi - Freshwater Butterflyfish
Pollimyrus isidori isidori - Baby Whale
Polycentropsis abbreviata - African Leaffish
