I've heard that Bio-Spira actually works so you can get your fish within a couple days is this true? Do you just put it into the tank and then wait 24 hours to get your fish? Is this a product that actually works? I just started fishless cycling and I'm wondering if BioSpira works.

So I've been told. I'd have to say try it. If you are already fishless cycling, add the bio-spira, continue adding ammonia and test a couple of days later to see if it instantly cycles your tank. If it does, do your standard huge nitrAte-removing water change and add fish, if not, you'll know next time and be able to help others who are wondering the same thing.

Didn't work for me. I posted here about it..somewhere. I put in the bio spira as directed plus 4 pristella tetras and one female betta. On day 3 I had an ammonia spike. I did 30% water changes 3 days in a row and it finally went down. During that time I put in gravel from my established tank and some zeolite in my filter box and between all that the ammonia went down pretty quickly. I won't be buying bio spira anymore.

Hmm, strange there seems to be a lot of people it helped. Who knows I just don't think its worth $20 plus shipping just to use it in 2-3 days vs a week or two.. I'm still working on lighting and plants anyway heh.
