Billy The Bully

I work with kids and it's always the naughty ones that I fall in love with and remember.. and now it's happened with my fish too!!

I've fallen in love with my horrible dwarf gourami (Billy...aka Billy the Bully/Billy No Mates), he used to attack all the other fish so people on this site recommended I got him 2 girlfriends... which I did. So he turned all his aggression all on the 2 girls, needless to say sadly they're both in fishy heaven! His last girlfriend only died a few nights ago after over a month of chasing and cowering at the bottom of the tank.

He has now started chasing my Angels (which I'm not really worried about as I know they will give him a run for his money as soon as they grow big enough).

My question is what do I do with this fish? i can't take him back (once I name them there's no chance they're leaving my tank!)

Do I get him more girlfriends?

Do I get a large group of dwarf gouramis?

Or do I wait for the angels to get their own back? I just feel bad leaving a fish on their own, it seems unnatural leaving them without any friends and he's trying to make me feel bad as well by blowing bubble nests!

What do y'all recon??

I'd personally leave him and not add any more dwarfs, I have a similar situation with a female krib, every partner i add ends up dead or having to be removed for his safety. Maybe you could add more decor to the tank or break up lines of site so theat he doesn't always see the angels

My tank is pretty well planted and has lots of rocks and bogwood but the angels and gourami seem to want to share territory. Half the time they all swim happily together but then sometimes he just drives them mad. Maybe because he's building his nest at the moment.

It's a good excuse to get a bigger tank if you ask me, Gemma.

Ha ha don't even tempt me I upgraded only 3 weeks ago. My boyfriend was less than impressed with the 1st upgrade!!
