Right, so i have a cave in my 10 gal tank and it has a sort of browny red alge on it. Apart from being abit unsightly i didnt think it was doing much harm. Lastnight i noticed the beggining of fungus on my black molly so i added some anti-fungus treatment. I have about 3 bottles of it because i had a poorly molly who kept getting fungus every 2 weeks or so but she died last week. Once i added this treatment the brown alge started to turn a rusty red colour and before i went to bed i noticed this cave dident have as much alge on as before. do you think it was the brown alge causing the fungus? I will take some pics tonight as i only come on here at work. Cheers for any help you have to give!

ok, i didn't think they ate algae, could be wrong, may be try a plec if you have room in your tank. they are hard working fish. either way i hope you get it sorted soon.

Well i go on holiday in 2 weeks time so im gona look into getting a plec when i get back. Any tips on a peaceful one? also gona get a under graval filter.

i've just got a common plec he seems fine at the moment but he's still small, let you know once he grows up. lol
