So, a couple of days ago I decided to take out the java moss in my 55g as it was taking over, plus it was dying out on the bottom. I'd tossed a few RCSs in there a couple months ago, not even knowing if they'd survive with all the tetras in the tank. When I pulled out the moss, I pulled out two of these gigantic RCSs!!

Here's a closeup of her alone.

And here she is with the other adult RCSs!! She's MASSIVE!

Think of the quantity when she gets berried.....

Well, all the other full-grown females I have are half this size, and not nearly as deep red. She's awesome!

She is impressive and obviously a fair old age as far as cherry shrimp go. She may even be past breeding age now. But at least you know you have her genetics and as your other cherrys age they too should develop such awesome colour.

My females always look like this and are huge fat beauties. Plus they're extra strong because my mom/cat almost murdered them all with kitty flea medication. What happened was my mom medicated the cat and since the cat is allergic to fleas she would become terrified of the floor and jump onto surfaces. One of her spots to sit happened to be the top of the fist tank. (She was sooooooo sick) Her fur fell into the tank and suddenly all of my shrimp were no longer swimming. THANK GOD I WAS HOME! Saved about 6 out of my 200ish. I cried like a baby. :,C
