Big Fish For 90g

CFC would be a good person to ask. Lots of oddballs would work well. Bichirs, morays and spiny eels, knife fish, large cichlids, and lots of other things would work pretty well.

Out of the 'normal' fish you see around the place i.e. LFS; you could get some large American Cichlids like Chocolates, Severums, Oscars, Jack Dempsey's etc. Or even a Red Devil :D

Aside from that you have plecs, large African cichlids (Frontosa, Blue Dolphins), Knife fish... Even some Australian natives :hey:

What are the measurements of the tank? There are some fish which can or cannot go in a 90gal but it depends greatly on the tanks dimensions.

Also how long has the tank been set up and do you have any fish in it yet?

What big fish for a 90 is too much of a broad question, how big do you consider to be big, what kind of fish do you like, is this to be a single specimin kept alone or do you want to be able to mix tankmates, are you looking for something that shows personality and watches you through the glass or an oddball that looks unique, do you want it to have bright showy colours or are you happy with a fish that is brown but has a huge mouth?

As Tokis says the dimensions are importent too, i have a few 80g tanks that have the same footprint as a 120 but are only 18" high as opposed to 24", but a tank of the same volume but taller and thinner would not be able to support the same sized fish due to a smaller footprint.

Also what is available to you and how much money do you want to spend, we could name an endless ammount of fish but if you cant obtain them or they are more expensive than you would be willing to pay then it is pretty pointless.
You need to have a think about what fish you hav seen and like and then draw up a shortlist to check if they are suitable or not.

in my lfs they have some fish called UARU and they would be good in a tank that size. 1 of them and few discus and a black ghost knife fish.

The tank has been set up for about 5 months now. The dimensions are 48" x 18" x 24". The most that i would spend is $100 (US). I like odd balls but, i also love oscars  . I alreay had a huge oscar but, im not sure if i want it again. Im also planning on getting the fish as a baby (small) :*

Oh btw i already have an Senegal Bichir ( 7" ) A Gibby Pleco ( 6" )

btw thanx all of u guys great ideas.

KEEP EM COMMIN PLZ

A shoal of rainbowfish?

giant bumblebee catfish? one sexy bugger. :good:

just out of interest, what is the minimum tank size for an oscar, dimension wise, and litres, i've a tank similar in size but thought it would be to small as once it grew to full size it wouldn't have much room to swim. I may just be over cautious (or plain dumb lol).

Back onto the subject, i'd definatley have a bgk, wonderfull to fish to watch. And some clown loaches. Also wonderfull fish to watch, real intersting to watch when they come out together and copy each other. (but maybe tank to small as you would need a few of them).

Madagascan rainbowfish (Bedotia Geayi). Awesome fish, lovely rear fins, very colourful.
