I've got a full grown very large female betta and I don't know where to put her. She was in my 20 gal community doing fine but I bought some amanos. A few are pretty small. Worried of her eating them I put her in her own 3 gal. So the temp in that tank was at 70 this morning so I put her with my angels in the 36 gallon. She seems to be getting nipped at in that tank. Would she be ok in the 20 with the shrimp? Anybody keep similar fish together?

maby better with the shrimp, if ither size isnt big enought to eat the other,,, how big is the tank that was at 70,onlty a 3 gal? way to cold by the way, 78 to 80 is what mine r at, but could you geta heater 4 her own tank??

and did she actualy show aggresion to the little fish or did you just pull her cause you were worried?? id try her in a normal fish tank community and see how it goes,, just for a few minits if she ignores then good, and just make sure all the fish are well feed so nobody gets hungry and goes hunting...

ive heard that some angels can be nippy, and some shrimp can ither be eaten or can attack the betta, what kind of shrimp r they and how big?

Thanks...she was doing great in the 20 gal community but I added the shrimp. Just don't wana lose those 4 dollar shrimp. Lol

i never had a problem with my girls and amanos, i always found that if they did 'go for them' my shrimp either ran very quickly or in 1 case picked a piece of gravel up (small piece) and sort of 'threw' it her way, never messed with shrimp again
