Big Blue Died.

Our pregnant female, 'Big Blue' died today. she was moved to the fry net yesterday after looking like she was ready to drop, and this morning we found her dead. in the fry net there were floating plants to give her cover so she didn't get too stressed.

any ideas what went wrong?

we still have at least 3 other females who are pregnant, but no where near dropping.

Possbily the stress from being in the net?

Are you sure she was preg? I know i was taken for a fool when i thought one of my fishies was preg and in fact they were just constipated...

What are your water stats and the fish type?

would have to get back to you on the water stats, have just got in from work

fish type of big blue was Guppy. others in the tank are 2 bristle nose plecs, a couple tetras and the other guppies females and a couple males.

she was deffo pregnant. the gravid patch was very black and bumpy (inside) looking - if that makes sense. But her body shape was huge and squared off on the chest and stomach - like at bursting point.
