Hi, i just have a quick question. I recently added two bichir sengals to my tank, big mistake. When i went to the petstore i saw these and they absolutly fascinated me, so I asked about them and were told i would be fine adding them to my tank since they were young still and if all my fish were bigger than their heads. They ended up killing half of my tank, irredescent sharks and columbian sharks that were twice their size. Now looking at the bichirs i notice little brown things hanging off them, which i think are some kind of worm. They are on their heads and sides. The rest of the fish are fine, but my remaining shark has now developed a kind of white fluffy intrusion sticking out of his side. I have had him for a while and he only developed this after i added the bichirs to my tank, even though they dont have it. My question is could the worm things have caused this on my shark? And what should i treat the worms and the white fluffy thing with? Should i put them in a quarntine tank or treat them and the rest of the fish in their tank. None of the other fish have any of these symptons but i dont know if it will spread to them or not. Any help would be appreciated. The water levels of my tank are fine. Bought all the test kits.
