Bichirs are good escape artists, ensure no way to escape, floating plants help the urge to escape, feeding what do you feed?
prawns/bloodworm/bottom feeder pellets are what mine eat...what temp is the tank water? what filteration are you using?

What kind of substrate are you using?
Any lumps around it's stomach/anus?

How big's the Poly? Is there anything that it could eat by mistake in the tank? Poly's are pretty hardy so it might just pass through eventually.

thanks for replied but my poly about 22cm thanks

It'll probs start eating again when it needs too, some poly's have lumps in them for ages, .5cm shouldnt cause to many issues.

Poly's can live their life as normal with a stone or whatever inside them providing it isnt stopping them eating. I dont know why it would have hit the surface of the water then just fall back down.
