My bgk is not looking good.
Tank size:85g
pH:6.8
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:never rises above 10 or so
kH:180
gH:75
tank temp:78
Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): Fish is acting fine. I woke up this morning to find his fins shredded and a couple of white spots on his side that wasn't attached, but it looked like somebody drew on him with a white marker. They have the same look as watermarks on the tank glass. There was never any aggression in the tank that I saw.
Volume and Frequency of water changes: 40% weekly
Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: Water conditioner, no carbon.
Tank inhabitants: 1 4-5" gold severum, 1 5" senegal bichir, 1 7" macrognathus aral (a spiny eel of some sort)
Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): the eel, although he was quarantined for 6 days.
Exposure to chemicals: water conditioner
Digital photo :
(the white marks are watermarks on the glass, I will try to get some better pics)
Please help, I would hate to lose this guy, I have become pretty attached to him.
Thanks in advance,
Ryan
