Betta's

Could I put a betta in with my red wag platys? Also, I'm thinking of putting in some zebra danio, dalmation mollies, turquois guppies, and some ghost shrimp (I think).

what size is the tank?

bettas are usually ok with platies (although it does depend on the individual)
gups and danios would be a problem though
mollies and shrimp may work

It is 20 gallons.

So maybe no zebra fish or gups?

maybe platy's and some mollies with ghost shrimp could be possible with lots of hiding spots and plants.

I personally have never had a problem with bettas and guppies-and most of my boys were in with guppies at some time or other (while i was keeping guppies anyway). You could try the guppies and see, but have a back up in case it doesnt work out as planned.
Danios need a bigger swimming space. they are very active.
