Will 1 betta male or female be ok with the following fish?

1 Pink kissing gourami
1 Golden Opaline Gourami
2 Platys (1 male 1 female)
2 plecos
and 1 unidentified fish (looks quite harmless)

and i was wondering if a betta will be fine in a heated tank as well?

[/quote Iam not sure but maybe you should post over in the betta section lots of experts over there. I keep mine in a heated tank much happier.

agree with pat, lots of experts other in the betta forum.

I would say a definate no the gouramis though. COuld get some pretty bad agression between them.

If you have an unidentified fish I recommend you post a picture of it so people can help identify it. Without knowing what the fish is it would be hard for you to give it the proper care (for example, it may be a schooling fish and better off in groups)

unless you have a large tank, i would rehome the kissing gourami (they get to 12") and plecos (if they're the larger plecos). also, you should find out what the unidentified fish is.

also, platies are best kept with 1 male to every 2 females i think. this will lessen the females' stress.

to answer your question, neither a male nor female betta will do well with your current stocking, due to the fact that they will fight with the gouramis. the betta might even get eaten by the kissing gourami once it grows large enough.
