Bettas With Pineconing, No Bloating

Hi folks

Two of my Bettas have pineconing but no bloating. They have not eaten in a few days. The water stats and temp are fine. Is this dropsy or something else? I thought that dropsy was organ failure/fluid buildup which caused bloating which caused pineconing? I cant find the pineconing symptom associated with anything else

Strange I know as usually the bloat up with scales sticking out.
You can get slow swelling so take a look here.
I would add a bacterial med.
Any signs of flcking and rubbing.
Can you see anything beneath the scales.
