My little Jade's tank is right next to my bed, right at eye level so I can see what he's up to when i'm sitting here (yes, it's 6:20pm and i'm sitting in bed - it's cold!! :p ) and he just made me burst out laughing.

He's usually a really passive little guy - a total opposite of Royal, who flares at anything in sight or out of it. BUT, just now he did a poo and when it started sinking and moving a little in the current, he flares at it and zooms after it until it reaches the gravel, where he then circles it and flares even more.

Then, to top it all off, he lunges at it, and when he gets to almost touching it, he gets scared and swims off at speed to peer at it from behind his plant

Ha, maybe i'm mad to be in giggles over a betta chasing his poo, but it was so funny and cute

haha thats funny,

Not yet seen my betta do anything funny apart run away from a female!

LMAO.......you really are in a bad way!!!! It is hilarious watching their little quirks. One of my boys Keaper will flare at every pellet before he eats it lol

I'm suprised mine aint afraid of cameras yet, always trying to get pics of him

Sam is petrified of anything black I cant leave anything black by his tank or he freaks out. And actually Netty Pluto displays all his fins before he eats. I always think he thinks he's amazing like that cartoon character Jonny Bravo its like he swims then flexes then swims then flexes

mine thinks he's a dragon. He looks like one when he sits in his cave with his head poking out.

LOL, they're just so so funny to watch :)

Just the way he turned into a complete scaredy-cat after trying to be so brave had me giggling

Lol they are weird and interesting. Wonder what they are thinking...

Yea Blue will just Flare at anything too. Polar flares only at the divider when I clean the tank out and have to take it out.

  Great narrative.... I'm laughing my *butt* off picturing one of my guys doing this. Best part of having new bettas is that every single one will surprise you with some quirky behavior that you can identify them by (that is if you don't have enough and have too much time to watch them all :p).

Sounds like me when I watched my Oscar eat the gourami's poo within seconds..... hold still.... spit it out and then ducked for cover

 LMAO, so funny when they do silly things, it really does make my day. People who don't have fish think that they're stupid, but they're not! Such great characters :hyper:
