Bettas And Shrimp And Veg?

I remember reading somewhere recently you can put some peas into your tank for the likes of bettas and shrimp to feed on if the shells of the peas has been removed and I know cucumber can be put in for the shrimps but what else can be added, I'm having some sweetcorn tonight for tea, could I peel the shell of and feed the shrimp that ?

Corn doesn't really have any nutritional value so I don't think it would benefit them in any way. I feed my shrimp blanched zucchini, carrot and spinach. I think peas are used mainly if a Betta is constipated but I'm sure it's fine to give as an occasional treat too.

dunno if swwetcorn would be any good it goes straight through ya lol. Most veg are suitable. Green leafy veg is good.

Oh right , glad I asked first, how long are you leaving in the veg ?

For my shrimp tanks I leave it in for 6-8 hours. Then take out what is left.

i feed shell less peas to all my fish every couple weeks, variety is good for any fishes diet.
