Betta

i used one of these to grow on 2 bettas i had, they seemed perfectly fine in there but they were fry and when they went to their new homes they were in MINT condition but as a long term solution, no way, dont use it, i use mine now as a livebearer trap and it works amazingly well

Have to agree with everyone else. Far too small for an adult betta. Not sure even my youngsters, so used to having a tonne of room in the grow out tank (20+g), would appreciate it either.
Far better off getting a 10 gallon tank and dividing it up for two. :good: Although I'm sure some would say you could divide it further I think 5g each is just about spot on for the boys. Except those of mine that have more. :look:

No way on the ebay! That's the same trap my lfs uses when he's transferring a fish from a tank to a bag. That's the middle point. And the fish is only there for a few moments. I would not subject any fish to that for more than a very short time.

Glad you asked!!! :good:

Hi thanks didnt want to get it unless it would be good for it. I have a spare 4 gallon refigium from my saltwater tank which i could link up to my 30 gallon tank. That means water will be pumping through the little tank keeping it a bit cleaner. Does anyone understand? Haha it would be good for 1 male.

Thanks

Think i may as well ask, my mate keeps a male betta in a guppie breeder net in his community its 6"x6"x6" is it going to be bad for the betta? Im sure he would find it a better home.

Thanks

I agree, I will use down to a 1.5 gallon tank for mine when need to but I try to keep my bettas when I do have them in at least 2.5 gallons of water. I've used cheese ball and animal cracker plastic containers for temporary/permanent homes the kind they sell in SAMS WHOLESALE, they hold around 2.5 to 3 gallons of water and are pretty cool tanks, however they are kind of flimbsy and would not take a heater.
