One of my female bettas has pop eye.

I noticed about 2-3 weeks ago she had a bump on her nose; I monitored her daily and it didn’t change so I thought she was ok with it (TBH I thought it may be a tumor or something so as long as it wasn’t getting bigger it was ok). Anyway she developed pop eye last week. I separated her immediately and treated her with myxazin, the swelling has gone down but her eye is still swollen. On the bottle it said leave 2 days between using another medication; so I’ve took that to mean wait 2 days before re-medicating; her second dose starts Saturday. I’m just wondering is there anything else that can help her? Since I’m not 100% sure it’s bacterial rather than some form of fluid build-up (i.e. a secondary thing from the nose lump).

She is still eating ok, although she normally gets fed flakes she’s not so interested in them; but she is eating pellets (I tend not to give her them as she bloats with them) – but I’d rather she bloated a bit and ate than not eating at all; and she’s still interested in treats.

If possible I’d like to get her into the main tank asap as she’s always been in with the girls and she’s alone at the minute. I have no problems with her settling back in; it’s just if she is gone too long the other girls might pick on her when she goes back in (when I first introduced her she just found her slot instantly and was swimming around with everyone straight away).

She is now currently taking her second dose of myxazin as of yesterday he face was still swollen and her eye was ok (not right but ok). This morning her eye was all bulged out again and her face swollen.

I personally don’t think it’s a bacterial infection, as it started with a swollen nose and half of her face is all swollen; it seems like she’s bruised it somehow or she has fluid retention (is it possible?).

Would it be worthwhile after this dose of medicine to put salt in her water to try and draw the “fluid” out (I’d read online it might work but I’m not sure if it’s worth trying or not).

What else can I try? I just feel so sorry for her alone in her tank with her swollen face; I’m just more worried that she is in pain and I can’t do anything to help her :(.

Epsom salt at 1 Tablespoon/5 gal if shes in isolation-will help draw the fluid out.
popeye can be from injury as well as bacterial or even from rapid temp change.
good luck
cheers

There has been no rapid temperature changes so I'm guessing injury but I'm trying to rack my brains at what she could have injured herself on.

I'll try the salt thank you :)

Shall I leave her in the salt water for a long time or shall I treat it like a salt bath?

either in the tank (since shes by herself) or as a dip-up to you. if using as a dip/bath, use 1 tablespoon per gal up to 30 mins up to 2X a day. Probably just be easier for you to treat the tank-and less stress on her as you wont have to keep netting her out for the dips.
all the best
cheers
