Well i recently notice my newest female betta's pectoral fin has like a velvet extension to it. Yet it shows no loss of color, or appetite whatsoever. Later in the day she losses it and next day it comes back.I have never had this problem with any of my fishes and i have many tanks. I change the water every 3 days about 25% and the 2nd time in the week 50%. Its a planted nano tank of 5.5 gallons. I use reverse osmosis water and i feed her blood worms, hikari bio gold, and brine shrimp. She is amazing in color and i have had her for a year. I dont know how to approach this exactly. The water parameters are fine so i hope someone can suggest something.

could you put up a picture? i dont really understand what is going on from your description other than something about her pec. fin.
cheers

Yea it seems that it went away yet again. Once i observe her like that again i will try and take a picture. On another note i will be breeding her soon :D

I would love to see your breeding story, will you make a topic of it here, or record it in the journals and photographs section please? I love watching breeding :good:
