A bit of history. I set up a 20g QT tank a month ago with a seeded filter media from my established 55g FW tank for my new 4 whiteskirt tetras, 6 leopard danios and one male betta whose fins were curled from being in the cup he was in...I thought. All were bought at the same time, same place. I went to the fish store armed w/ my list of compatible fish to pick out...so I thought.
I removed the betta after a week into my 6 month old cycled 10g snail/2 danios and some shimp tank because it appeared the tetras may have been nipping at the betta and the betta seemed to keep to him self in different corners of the tank. After another week I saw his fins slowly looked worse so I put him in his own 10g QT w/ a seeded media filter from the other 10g. No gravel, silk plant and a place for him to lay in. Added aqua salt 1 teaspoon per gallon the first day turned up the heat to 80. Did almost 100% WC second day and added 2 tsp aqua salt per gallon w/ frequent WC's. 3rd week no improvement yet....I added 3 tsp aqua salt per gallon...no improvement still seeing the fins get worse so After 2 more days I bought maracyn plus to treat him with. Did another large WC brought the salt down to about 2 tsp per gallon and treated w/ meds per instructions on bottle. Meds say treat on day 1, 3, and 5 that's it! He is on day 4 w/ visable fin rot conditions getting worse. He has lost half of his back and top tail fin very slowly.
My tank stats:
Temp 80
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
PH 8
nitrate 5.0
water conditoner: prime
I do weekly, every 7 days 20% WC on my small healthy tanks 30% on my large healthy puffer tank. I'm doing large WC's on the bettas QT every two days except I have not while treating w/ maracyn plus. He is fed once a day foods soaked in garlic and vitamins such as mussel, shrimp, bloodworms, weekly and krill once in a while (I feed this to all my fish as I have puffers who thrive only on these foods). I also give the betta a few of the betta ball foods so he will not refuse them. I have been hand feeding the betta so that I do not over feed him. He has been eating this whole time thank goodness and is active. He eats about 6 bites of food a day. He doesn't look thin but IDK if that is a normal amount of food for a betta. Bettas are new to me.
I have never seen this boys fins normal from the fish store. It's going on a month of this illness. Please help me heal him. I found this post here and would like some more advice on the treatment:

"Treatment: Antibiotic baths coupled with anti-fungal baths containing phenoxyethanol are the most common treatments. Improving water quality, reducing stress, and decreasing the risk of injury...."
Can anyone advise me what meds to use to do this. I need the med to water ratio to give the baths and I need to know how often to give the baths. Thanks in advance for your advise.
