After an illfated breeding attempt i intend to take my two female bettas back to the shop (they're isolated - there's nowhere else for them to go than back to he shop!) leaving the agressive male in the tank on his own. will his colours dull with noone to display to? also i was thinking of putting an african butterfly fish in with him. is this possible? he's about 6 cm including fins (long and flowing - double half moon tail) would the butterfly fish nip his fins or even eat him? if so i obviously won't get one. the tank is 20 litres.
If not a butterfly fish what other fish can I add he's quite aggressive...
also the corner of one of his fins has split as i know they sometimes do. however there has been a slght reddening in that area of his fin. i'm not sur if this is his natural colour (he does have red on him) or not. Should I be concerned?
