Betta Themed Tank

I wanted to get a theme going in my first betta tank, its for my brother, so it's technically not mine lol.

it's a 2.5G(11L) tank. I would like the substrate to be gravel because cost is an issue.

Just need some help thinking of some cool theme ideas for the tank for him.

Wrong section to post this in, but I'd say get some black gravel, about 4-5 plants (towards the backing of the tank -live or fake-your choice), and some nice, but small ornament for the centre of the tank.

This is my 2.5gallon mini-bowl, not sure what I want to put in it yet, but it gives you a little view of how you could set yours up.

Surely sand for a 2.5G won't cost anything?

Unless you prefer gravel.
