I'm getting 10 betta tanks for my room, 5 that will be 2gallon and 5 that will be 1gallon. Will these sizes be ok for the bettas? Or are they too small?
Also, what type of bettas should I get? I really like crowntails, but they are the only type of betta that I really know about

those would be good homes for the bettas.

are you willing to spend alot of money to get crowntails? If so there are other really nice ones, and some cool wild types avaliable. Plakats are awsome bettas.
And then there are delta tails, half moons, double tails and a bunch of others.

good luck getting some nice ones.

yeah i have a veiltail, and i want another betta with a different tail type, preferably crowntail. if i was you i would try to get all the types of bettas in those tanks (crowntail, doubletail, halfmoon, overhalfmoon, veiltail, delta, etc.!)

have fun establishing all those new tanks! and good luck :D

and yes, all those tanks are fine, i wouldnt put a betta in anything less than 2 Gallons, but thats just me....

At the lfs the crowntails cost $7.50 while the Veiltails cost $5.00. I have already one veiltail and one crowntail. I really want to have a least one doubletail, halfmoon, overhalfmoon and delta. I haven't seen any of these types in the lfs but I'm sure they have them around.
Are plastic plants ok with bettas?

I personally wouldn't keep them in less than 2 gallons, but thats just me. They really do need some room to move around, especially after being crammed into those cups. My betta is currently alone in a 46 gallon, awaiting some companions. He is a plakat and he's awesome. He is really happy in such a big tank. I would prefer live plants, bettas like em better, but fake plants are better than no plants.
