Hi,

...specifically Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish - would they be suitable tankmates? My male Betta's currently in a 30L tank.

Thanks
Kim :good:

don't think so, far too bright and colourful, they could easily be mistaken for another betta and subsequently attacked

I have to agree with Miss Wiggle. It could be mistaken for a rival. Part of the problem tho is the size of tank, it's pretty small for something as active as a rainbowfish. Especially considering you'd need 5 or so for a happy school.

Pretty much if you want tank mates for your Betta thing drab and bottom dwelling. Otos, Pygmy corys ... Depending if your fish will tolerate "friends".

The larger problem is their complete and utter brainless disregard for anything in their way at feeding time....
