Betta Tail Eaten By New Clown Loach

is this normal ive put the betta in a pint glass floating in the tank so the loach cant get at it i was told to try this as after a few days the loach will give up and not bother the siamese again ive half filled the glass so it doesnt sink it can also be fed directly any other advice

yes ive seen loach chasing beta and biting tail its half the size now the tank is 30 litre with 11 other small community fish in 3 swordtails,2 platys,2 catfish,2 fly foxs,2 clown loachs
