I have a 10gallon with four adult platies, one baby platy, three ghost shrimp, and a betta.

I have been away for the weekend, my mother was feeding the fish per my instructions. I did not check them closely when I got home today, but when I went to feed them, I found my betta stuck between the glass and a stick that I never realized he would even fit in between. I moved the stick and let him out, and he has been slow moving and just resting on the gravel or plants since then. His fins look a little tattered, as if he was trying to get out and couldn't, or perhaps the platies picked on him while he was stuck?

I have put him in a separate bowl to get him out of the moving water with some water from the tank. All the other fish are fine, and have been so it doesn't seem at all like a tank issue, and it's only happened after he got stuck. I have no idea how long he has been stuck, but my mom said she saw him swimming around earlier today. He's been mostly very still, not moving his fins besides every once in a while where he will do a lap or so around the bowl. He hasn't eaten.

Should I keep him separated or put him back in the main tank with the filter? I plan on doing a water change every day that I keep him in this bowl to keep his oxygen level at a reasonable level... but I don't know which would probably be best... advice?

He's stressed and he's cheesed off because his fins hurt.

Put a towel or something dark over his tank and leave him alone to calm down - preferably for the rest of the day. The darker the bowl is, the better for him because he's at less risk of diurnal predators in the dark. Ideally, he's probably better off in the tank - assuming the filter is mature, but tbh, I wouldn't move him today. He's stressed enough. Give him somewhere to hide and change about 15% of his water every day while he's in the bowl.

I don't know if you can get it where you are, but if you can, treat his fins with Melafix or some other gentle anti-biotic, to help the fins heal and ward off infection. If you do start treating, increase aeration.

What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Any white edging to the fins or red streaking.
What do you feed your fish.
Is the betta bloated.
Laying on the bottom of the tank can be bacterial to constipation.
If he's still eating I would cook some frozen peas for a few minutes, let cool down, pop out of shell mush between fingers into small peices, then add to the tank.
Melafix is only good on cuts and wounds no good on bacterial finrot.
