I posted last weekened about my Betta being sick.
He had a white fuzz around his mouth, his fins were very raggedy and his color very pale. Almost brown looking. He wasn't eating, and was just floating around.
The fuzz around his mouth is gone, but his fins are looking worse, more torn etc. than before.
He mostly sits at the top kind of floating, sometimes I think he's dead. He'll float in one spot for hours, and then I'll notice he's blown a ton of bubbles at the surface.
He's still not eating.
He's barely moving now.
I'm treating him with stress coat and Melafix, which is supossed to treat body/mouth fungus, fin rot, sores and pop eye.
I did a 25% water change and added the Aquarium salt yesterday after a week of treatment.
What more can I do? I don't think he's going to make it by the looks of him.
He used to be so pretty.

Melafix is no good for columnaris, you need maracyn one and two, or tetracycline, he sounds bad, if you did use the right med now the betta might not be strong enough to cope with the meds, increase aeration, good luck.

Those 2 maracyns are really great. the best thing is to use them together--like Maracyn and Maracyn2 are meant to be used in conjunction. They're pretty powerful so they might do it for him. Good luck and best wishes.
