Betta Scoops

does anybody know what the netting materia was made of and what kind of wood they use for the handle? do they just use normal wire to connect it all? i want to make something that is like the real thing.

the only place I have seen a scoop was in a pet shop in Norfolk where I bought Echo from. I use a large clean cottage cheese pot and scoop the betta in to it..I dont like netting them in case they hurt themselves. I have just moved our syndotis something and he is huge but I was using a water filter jug and he swam in by accident

The scoop I have is made from a thin type of canvas. The handle is long and thin, but don't know what type of wood. It is held together with what looks like a sort of plastic fishing line, wrapped round and round. Don't know if this is much help.
