I was curious about whether this was normal? The filter is just under the water a few centimetres higher than my betta can rest. I know they like to rest on leaves and such, but Calcifer ignores the plants in his tank for resting (he has a java fern as well as two other plants), and every night at lights off I find him snuggled down on the filter!

It's cute, I'll admit, but that means I have two pets who sleep oddly, what with my bearded dragon always finding the oddest positions!

the fish doesn't know it's a filter, it just knows it's a solid place to rest. Nothing unusual.
