Hey guys, I have a question about my newest male crown tailed betta(Logan is his name lol). Anyway now I believe I've read that they are more of the aggressive types of betta's, and I wanted to know if this is why he keeps being so spastic. He'll be all calm one minute the next minute he is swimming around like crazy, I got him not even 15 hours ago so it could be him getting use to his enviorment but I don't know. Any help would be nice oh and Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate :).

Hows the water test, a high level of ammonia could cause him to freak out.

How big is the tank?
It is probly just him settling into his new enviroment, and stress from being moved and transport. turn out the lights and give him a night without anyone looking at him...cover with a blanked if in a high traffic area.

Hope this helps.

Well he lives in my room and his tank is on a table right next to my bed, I need to get a testing kit so... but ok I'll turn out the lights, I'm such a paranoid person when it comes to fish lmfao. He seems to be doing a bit better now though, poor thing probably wore himself out  Oh and the tank is like half a gallon its one of those things you buy for either to carry rats and such around or for small fish.

Keep the lights out get a test kit ASAP and but a bigger tank 1G is the Bare minimum and even then its almost to small...try one of those 2.5 or 5G all in one kits at the store i think a 5G is like 30-40 dollars.

Ok thanks a heap for all you're help, he seems to be doing better with the lights off. He's a sleeping fish right now :p, I'll try my best to get a testing kit although it might be hard today since I bet the stores are all closed...
