Hi everyone, i have had a siamease fighting fish in my tank now for 6-7 months everythings been fine intill 3-4 weeks ago. He has been a bit sluggish sitting on the bottom, he swims just fine but im worried about this behaviour as he hasnt don it before. I have added some king british revitaliser which is basically liquified salts is there anthing else i can do apart from this and water changes? Thankyou for your help.

Can we take a look at your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
What do you feed the fish as they can get constipation.
Does the fish look bloated.

Thanks for your reply. I regulary check my water stats the problem does not lie there. I have a community tank and watch carfully to make sure there is no bullying. I feed them flake food and ive just today brought some brine shrimp hoping somthings missing in the bettas diet. The meds i have put in the tank deal with constipation and i have taken the carbon out of my filter. Just hope it works out.

Feeding flakes all the time can make them constipated.
Need veg and frozen foods.
Cook some frozen peas for a few minutes, let cool down, pop out of shell, and squeeze between fingers and add to the tank.

bieng "lazy" and staying at the bottom and such meens you have too much current flow in your tank. bettas dont like current at all. try cutting down your filter so there is little to no current and he should perk up.
