Betta Persephone

The leaves are real they are oak tree leaves. I had to read up on what leaves to use in tanks and I also asked at a few shops who use leaves in some of their tanks too and it's oak tree leaves and beech tree leaves that you can use in tanks. I'm using them to lower the ph in the water but also because I have always wanted to try the really natural looking tank with leaves, snails, lots of wood, live plants and moss. I was told though it's better to use beech tree leaves because they don't break down as fast as the oak tree leaves but here in Sweden beech trees are not indigenous so I'm having a hard time finding the trees although the guy I got the Betta persephones from told me of a few spots where he goes to gather them in the autumn.

These are the kind of tanks that really appeal to me. What I am having trouble with though is seeing pieces of moss or wood or stuff on the bottom of the tank and telling myself not to vacuum it up :p I'm more used to keeping the bottom of my tanks super clean but with this one it's meant to look a little dirty or messy. :look:
