I bought my betta, Sato, approx. 6 months ago. Very happy fish all by himself in his .5 gallon bowl. Active, eats well, great color. Well about a month after I got him he jumped out of his bowl onto the rug. He looked rough and was covered in rug fur but survived...appearing to return to full health about a week later.

A couple of months ago now I noticed a small white spot appear under his chin, that has grown over time to a fairly sizeable patch covering most of his chin.

I feel that I have tried every possible treatment on this little guy based on various Internet recommendations: CopperSafe, Maracyn I, II, Maroxy, BettaFix, Fungus Cure. No difference.

Throughout all treatments he has always been active, colorful. Spot is still there.

Recently I've noticed filmy "ghost" like slime on his tail, almost like he's moulting (which I know isn't possible).

I change his water frequently but the fimly material keeps coming back.

I love this fish and to my knowledge have tried just about everything. Can someone please help me? Help Sato?
