I may have overfed my betta or there is some other problem. I noticed a lump in the belly area under and behind one of the side fins and the fin seemed rigid. He was still eating and able to go to the bottom and top of his side of the 10g divided tank. I've had him about 4 weeks and the tank is cycled and the levels are good, although nitrate can get a little high with the pig Paradisefish in there.

Today it seems that both fins are a bit rigid although he is not as lumpy. I gave him a pea one day and nothing else, should I have done that longer? When feeding thawed food is one bloodworm for a fish his size sufficient? His color and fins look good and he hurries over when I come to the tank.

I have a floating plant that he likes to be in, but he will also go to the bottom and get in his lava rock. He was blowing bubbles all over the surface of the tank one night a few days ago, but not since. This is my first betta, so I am not sure what behaviors are normal. He does otherwise seem to be okay and is eating. I'm trying not to overfeed but am used to the greedy gouramis.

Is this a feeding issue or maybe something else?
