My mom has had her betta probably going on 2 years. It seems that over the last several months he's become less active and he barely even eats. I think she said he'll eat 2 pellets all day and that will be it. Could it be from old age? I gave her betta some live earthworm and he just spat it out. She's even tried freeze dried bloodworm and it's the same as the pellets. He'll eat one or two and be finished. Is there anything else that you guys can suggest? I have some frozen bloodworm that I'm going to give her to try, but anything other than that? He doesn't show any signs of sickness or distress. He just seems really disinterested and lethargic.

probably his age. If his water is sparkly clean and there are no visible signs not much you can do...just try to give him a pellet...and get them out if he dont eat them.... :good:

Awe, yeah betta's on average only live 2-5 years. So he sounds like his getting in that range. At least he still eat some :good:! Just keep trying to feed him what you are now with the pellets. Best of Luck !

It might be age... but you can always try the frozen bloodworms (thawed, of course). Few bettas can resist them... it may put some spark back into him?! :flex: Good luck!!
