I have a red male betta.
He is currently in a 1 gallon tank.

I am thinking about getting him a 2.5 or 5 gallon tank today.
1. Would it be a good idea to add betta bullbs in a tank that size?
2. As long as it is densely planted and full of hidin place, can I keep a male and female together in the tank?
3. My betta is crazy, he's been fling around the fish tank for like two or three minutes, and then he'll go back to the bottom of the tank for 2-3 minutes.. then hell do it again?
Is this normal or is there something I should know? Or is he CRAZY? lol

nice to hear you are upgrading your tank. I'm sure your betta will thank you for it. You shouldn't ever put male and femal bettas together. There are stories of it working but so much depends on the bettas' temperment and I don't think it would ever work in a 2.5G, it's just too small sorry.

Of the two links you posted, which is the one that has the same filter? The first one has an undergravel filter and those aren't very good. I can't see what filter the second one has. Bettas don't like strong current but you could stem the current by attaching some foam to the filter or you could just not use the filter. Some bettas are happy with some current, but others hate even a small bit of current. Again it depends on the individual betta.
