on bad advice i had dwarf gouramis and bazil in together. he had to move house.

anyhow, now i have four females in a 10g tank. I have room for them in my 20g which has two dwarf gouramis, 2 fancy guppies and 9 emperor tetra.

will they be ok in there coz id prefer them in the 20g tank so I have a spawning tank. but if not, they can stay where they are. :)

no i dont think these fish get along.

ive looked into the possibility of getting some in my betta tank, and decided against it...

female bettas tend to do much better than males in community tanks, because their shorter fins are not such a tempting target to fin nippers, and they can be (slightly) less aggressive than males. personally i would be tempted to give it a go :good: but don't use the 10G for anything else for at least a month, so you have a backup if it all goes wrong

See my siggie. I keep several bettas and gourami together successfully :good: but be advised this is a planted 55 gallon with plenty of hiding spaces and territories. They only fight [scrap, give chase, but no damage] amongst their own kind but not with each other.

ok.. i wasnt going to fill the old tank anyway... so I guess I can just give it a try and if all goes teets up, then put em back :)

bazils investigating his new floating plant at the moment. seems to like it but he does seem to get a little stuck.. silly bazil!!!

the females are really tiny still.. about 2 cm. I will post some pictures up soon so you can tell me what kind they are. Bazil is a crown tail so I hope they are that or a diff type to a veil tail because the breeding faq thing suggests not to breed vt's!! :)

its not that vts are bad fish they can make great pets and ive have seen some real beuts! however they fish trede right now is that commercial pet stores have a overabundance of them ,, now it seems cts are getting popular with the industry. so basicaly right now its just eaiser to more out different stock,, my first fry are cts and i am having troble moving the last 10, but my 2nd batch are a hm crossed with a feathertail and i allready have people begging for them, so its all up to you what u want to breed,, just remember you could get 20 babies or 200 and moving ;;common ;; stock is harder right now, if i were you i would go with the ct male and if they female arnt ct then try to get ahold of one good luck!
