I have a betta who jumped yesterday evening while in a temporary bucket (my husband accidentally dropped something against her tank and broke it--oops!), and unfortunately she partially dried before we noticed her. She has been returned to the bucket and then the new tank, and did look mostly recovered last night and even ate her dinner before I went to bed. This morning her back is covered in fungus she is laying on the bottom. I thought she was dead and went to remove her, but she started swimming weakly for the surface. It is a divided tank she shared with two other female bettas. She looks so bad I don't hold up much hope for her, but am I giving up too soon? What can I do for her? The tank has good suface agitation (there is a filter on the other side where the current doesn't bother her) so she shouldn't be having trouble with oxygen even though she is staying at the bottom. There are some floating plants that she would probably be able to rest in if she wanted to stay near the surface to breathe.
Thanks,
Tammy
