Can i put a male Betta in with Neon and Glow-light Tetras? I'm worried the Betta will bully them because of their flashy colors.

Its more than likely the other way round, tetras are known to be nippy and may nip at the bettas fins...

Quite a few people do have them with neons

I have heard of some of the larger tetras fin nipping but not the Glow-Lights and Neons.

In my first ever fish tank I had a Betta fish in with some neons and some Guppies. The Neons constantly nipped at his tail, harassed him and plainly bullied him. It's really hit or miss with Bettas and other fish.

I didn't know Neons nip, I guess we learn something new everyday :). Maybe I'll get a dwarf gourami instead.

According to this site: http://tropicalfishandaquariums.com/Compatibility/index.php

Betta's and Dwarf Gouramies are not compatible. You could try Pearl Gourami, or Three Spot Gourami.

How big is the tank in which the Betta would be sharing his habitat with these new tankmates?

Also, not all Bettas tolerate tankmates, you may have a "plan 2" lined up in case it doesn't work out.

My Betta absolutely wanted the Golden Mystery Snail out of his 10 gal tank, but he is best friends with the Kuhli Loaches, go figure! :D

i have my females in with glowlights and kitty tetra and its the bigger kitty tetra who are the main fin nippers (one of my females is not missing a large chunk of her tail) my male when he was in there was more stressed out by the speed at which they swim.

I see, so it's not to do directly with them both being labyrinth fish.

Thanks

As a GENERAL rule, labyrinth fish, most notably males, don't get along very well with either others of their own species or other species of labyrinth fish. Obviously there are exceptions but they aren't usually particularly compatible.

Is that because they occupy the same space in the tank, and are also generally territorial?

Both.
