Can i put a male Betta in with Neon and Glow-light Tetras? I'm worried the Betta will bully them because of their flashy colors.
Its more than likely the other way round, tetras are known to be nippy and may nip at the bettas fins...
Quite a few people do have them with neons

I have heard of some of the larger tetras fin nipping but not the Glow-Lights and Neons.

In my first ever fish tank I had a Betta fish in with some neons and some Guppies. The Neons constantly nipped at his tail, harassed him and plainly bullied him. It's really hit or miss with Bettas and other fish.
Bettas and Gouramis are normally a no no due to them both being labyrinth fish![]()
because they both swim in the same part of the tank and can both become territorial
I see, so it's not to do directly with them both being labyrinth fish.
Thanks

As a GENERAL rule, labyrinth fish, most notably males, don't get along very well with either others of their own species or other species of labyrinth fish. Obviously there are exceptions but they aren't usually particularly compatible.

Is that because they occupy the same space in the tank, and are also generally territorial?
Both.
